A spreadsheet toolkit is available to members to quantify sucrose inversion in a raw sugar factory’s evaporator station using SMRI-NIRS data. The toolkit must be used with the Standard Operating Procedure for determining SMRI-NIRS
Evaporator Inversion Losses. The toolkit caters for all types of evaporator configurations and may be used to evaluate the overall inversion loss across an evaporator station and/or identify evaporator vessel/s that are potentially
high contributors of inversion loss.
